Crater Lake was the big attraction on the way to the rally in Salem. What a beautiful sight! The photos are a disservice to the real beauty. We had a good time with the snow...it snows there all the time, and the roads were cleared only halfway around the lake. The snow was about 4 feet high along some of the road higher up.
When we left the lake we continued on toward Salem and the 49th International WBCCI Rally. We were having so much fun doing all this sightseeing, it was almost sad to be stopping it all to go to Salem. But...That's only a week out of the touring schedule...we'll live!
A quiet relaxing evening after a great day of sightseeing...on to the Pacific Coast tomorrow.
