One more thing about the Cassiar Highway...

Forgot to mention that some veteran drivers of the Cassiar Highway insisted the road would ruin the car and trailer. Insisted we wrap up the entire trailer with plastic and bubble wrap. Well, we didn't go that far, but we did decide to wrap the grille of the Tahoe. The Airstream has rock guards already so any damage done to it would have been done to the guards. We did wrap the front with bubble wrap, just enough so that the lights could still be seen if needed, (Remember it's always light out so who needed lights??) and over that we placed a layer of screening. Taped it all on with packing tape. Turned out to be a good thing, because the gravel that pops up from passing vehicles was enough to ruin the windshield. And, the mud was terrible! The entire trailer and bottom half of the truck were covered in a thick layer of mud. Took over an hour to wash it off!

And I also forgot our tript to Jade City and the Cassiar jade shops. The mines there produce about 75 percent of the world's jade products, believe it or not! Picked up a few trinkets and went on our way.
